Global chemical paper grade market pulp shipments in August/11 were 3.411 million tons, up by 5.1% from July/11 and up by 7.4% from August/10, at the delivery rate of 85% of the P.M.C. Inventories at the end of August/11 stood at 41 days, an increase by two days of supply from the end of July/11 and higher by seven days than in August/10. Source PPPC. (Sep 22)
Utipulp European pulp consumer August/11 figures; inventories 710 400 tons, an increase by 7 200 tons or 1.0% from July/11, and up by 4 200 tons or 0.6% from July/10. In days the inventories were at 21 days of consumption, unchanged from July/11 and from a year ago, too. Consumption in August/11 totalled 872 100 tons, a decrease of 133 800 tons or 13.3% from July/11, and lower by 56 600 tons or by 6.1% than in August/10. Source: Utipulp (Sep 19)
